Catechesis of Benedict XVI on the Early Christians

Benedict XVI begins his catechesis on the Early Christians

In the general audience of Wednesday, October 25, 2006:

Benedict XVI

“Today, we begin to bring ourselves closer to important figures of the primitive Church. They spent their lives for Jesus, the Gospel and the Church. They are men and women who, as St. Luke wrote in the Acts of the Apostles, have given their lives to the cause of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Benedict XVI).

With these words, Benedict XVI announced his intention to comment on the life of the Early Christians. After having presented the figures of the twelve apostles in the preceding weekly meetings with pilgrims, the Pontiff mentioned about the men and women of the early Church as well.
